Privacy policy

This explains what happens to your personal data when you use freyacopywriter.com. There is not much to explain, because the site is built to collect very little: one form, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics.

Freya is operated by a self-employed individual based in Sofia, Bulgaria, who is the data controller for this site under the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The full legal identity is on legal notice rather than repeated across every page.

Contact for any privacy matter: office@freyacopywriter.com.

The only place this site collects personal data is the enquiry form on contact. It asks for your name, work email, company or brand name, which kind of business you are, what you need, a description of the project, and optionally a budget band, a timeline and links. There is also a hidden field and a signed timestamp used only to filter automated submissions — both described on cookie policy.

None of it can be skipped and still produce a useful reply: we cannot judge fit or scope a proposal without it. The budget and timeline fields exist specifically so that nobody wastes a conversation on a mismatched quote.

Most enquiries come from someone writing on behalf of a company. In that case the basis is Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interest: replying to a business enquiry you started, using only what you gave us for that purpose, is a legitimate interest that does not override your rights — you wrote to us expecting an answer.

Where you are personally the prospective client — an independent working in their own name rather than for a separate company — Article 6(1)(b) also applies, as steps taken prior to entering a contract at your request.

Consent is not relied on for any of this, so there is nothing to withdraw. You can still object, or ask us to stop, at any time.

Enquiry data is kept for 12 months from your last contact, then deleted. That period is deliberately short: long enough to cover a slow enquiry, a conversation that pauses and restarts, or a disagreement about what was discussed — and short enough to satisfy the storage-limitation principle for data that was never going to be kept indefinitely.

If an enquiry becomes paid work, the relevant details move into a contract file, which is subject to Bulgarian accounting and tax record-keeping rules measured in years rather than months. That period is set by those rules and by an accountant, so no figure is invented for it here.

Enquiry data goes to one inbox, office@freyacopywriter.com, delivered by authenticated SMTP through the hosting provider's mail service. That provider acts as a processor for the sole purpose of transmitting and storing that email.

There is no CRM, no marketing platform, no analytics vendor and no third-party form service. Nobody else receives it.

Hosting is intended to be within the EU/EEA, in which case this processing involves no transfer outside it. If a non-EEA provider is ever used instead, this page will name the safeguard relied on before that change goes live.

You can ask for access to the data held about you, correction of anything wrong, deletion, restriction of how it is used, a portable copy where that applies, and — since legitimate interest is the basis — you can object to its use altogether.

Email office@freyacopywriter.com for any of these. You will get an answer within the time the GDPR allows.

You can complain to the Bulgarian supervisory authority.

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. See cookie policy for the detail, and for what would have to change first.

Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling. A person reads every enquiry.

No Data Protection Officer has been appointed. Under Article 37 one is mandatory only for public authorities, for organisations whose core activity is large-scale regular monitoring of individuals, or for large-scale processing of special-category data. None of that describes a single enquiry form, so rather than name an officer who does not exist, this page says plainly that there is not one. Use the email above for anything you would otherwise raise with one.

The site is aimed at businesses. Data is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18 through the form.

If what happens to your data changes — a named hosting provider, added analytics, a new tool — this page is updated before that change takes effect, not after.
